ESSENTIALS
BSc Hons OR MSc in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Genetics, excellent communication skills in English, confident, resilient approach to sales, SA citizen only. Must have hands-on /working lab experience & strong communication skills. Telephonic sales experience is advantageous, ideally residing near Randburg, own car essential. *Only Gauteng based candidates to be considered.

DETAILS
A well renowned scientific instrumentation & laboratory consumables distributor requires an office-based internal sales professional. The head office is based in Randburg and services the local region and a couple satellite offices around SA. This role covers 2 of the company’s product portfolios, including genomics & biobanking, and products falling into the analytical solutions portfolio, i.e., analytical chemistry & testing related products. The successful incumbent will be comfortable communicating on various levels to customers and stakeholders via email & telephonic means & occasionally visiting customers to present new product offerings. This position therefore requires a positive, confident, organised person who works conscientiously and with a can-do attitude.
 
If you have the relevant qualifications & experience, with excellent communication skills in English, and exhibit determination, grit, and a flare for the sales environment, then this position may be a good fit for you.
 
The position will include:
    • Managing existing client relationships
    • Cold calling potential clients
    • Generating leads and, where required & forwarding these to external sales professionals
    • Managing all incoming queries and sales calls making use of the companies CRM system
    • Liaising with technical, sales and customer service departments within the company
 
REQUIREMENTS
      • BSc Hons/MSc in relevant life science e.g., Biochemistry etc.
      • Confident with excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written)
      • Sales and customer care experience highly preferred
      • Technical expertise in biotech/molecular biology/chemistry lab techniques
      • Strong administrative skills, organised & efficient approach, enjoying repetitive tasks
      • Ability to communicate in Afrikaans is advantageous for this role.
