ESSENTIALS
BSc Hons or higher (MSc or PhD) in Analytical Chemistry or related, 2 ~ 3 years of hands-on lab experience using LC-MS / HPLC / GC / TLC / SPE &/ Spectroscopy. Ideally 2+ years proven sales experience in the same industry, outstanding command of English, excellent presentation skills. SA citizen, willing to travel, with driver’s license and own car.

DETAILS
Fantastic opportunity for a trained Chemist with a passion for sales and communicating with people. An established lab supply distributor seeks an experienced individual to join their analytical sales team. The position will entail frequent customer engagement & proactive business development to generate a strong sales pipeline, while ensuring related sales reporting administration requirements are fulfilled. If you love the challenge of breaking into new markets and providing excellent service and technical support to customers, then this position is for you!  
 
The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, a positive self-confident approach with strong negotiating skills and a tangible drive to succeed. Responsibilities are geared towards high-level customer interfacing, including daily customer contact targets, proactive customer care – which may involve: Providing sound technical advice, conducting customer profiling, performing hands on equipment demonstrations / seminars and following up on customer queries and quotations. Travel is integral to the role, with the designated sales area to be confirmed.
 
 
REQUIREMENTS
    • Minimum of BSc Hons or higher (MSc or PhD) in Analytical Chemistry or related
    • 2-3 yrs Hands-on lab experience using LC-MS / HPLC / GC / TLC / SPE &/ Spectroscopy
    • Ideally 2+ years of proven sales experience in a relevant industry
    • Highly skilled in communications and presentations in English
    • SA citizen, with driver’s licence (Code 8) + own vehicle, happy to travel extensively
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a drive to succeed
    • Independent, efficient worker with highly developed people skills
    • Highly computer literate
