ESSENTIALS
Tertiary qualified: BSc Honours / BTech / MSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, with 1~2 years work experience, HPLC or GC experience advantageous, must have outstanding command of English language, have confidence on the phone speaking to customers, a self-starter. Car and driver’s license essential. **Only Gauteng based candidates to be considered.

DETAILS
Our client, a well-established laboratory supply company in Johannesburg, are expanding their team and require a young, self-motivated, confident, presentable scientist in the position of Internal Technical Sales Rep. The position will include supporting the external Sales staff, liaising with clients telephonically, developing new business leads, maintaining current client relationships, and assisting with marketing and demonstrations when required. The candidate must have a strong technical background in chemistry with related hands-on skills in a chromatography environment, working with related lab-based instrumentation in either: chemistry, biochemistry, water testing, or pharmaceutical sciences. The focus will be on the sales of a range of chemistry & chromatography related labware and consumables.
REQUIREMENTS
    • BTech / BSc Honours / MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Technology or related
    • 1~ 2 years working experience (ideally in sales &/ dealing with customers/clients)
    • Confident & friendly with excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written)
    • Computer literate using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook),
    • Strong technical & administrative skills, organised & efficient approach
 
 
Additional advantageous experience:
    • Sales and customer care experience
    • 2 years working experience in a lab environment using chromatography
    • Water testing laboratory experience
