A well-established organisation operating within industrial food processing and capital equipment solutions is seeking an experienced business development professional to drive business growth across the assigned territory. This role is responsible for regional commercial performance, combining high-level account management, new business development, and strategic sales leadership. The focus is on delivering tailored equipment and processing solutions aligned to customer operational and future growth needs. Key focus areas include:
- Drive regional commercial strategy, revenue growth, and achievement of sales targets
- Manage and grow key customer relationships within FMCG manufacturing environments
- Lead complex, consultative sales cycles for capital and industrial equipment solutions
- Identify new market opportunities and expand the regional customer base
- Collaborate closely with technical, engineering, and internal teams, to stay updated on new developments & to provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and market insight
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 yrs sales experience in industrial / capital equipment in FMCG
- Tertiary qualification in Sales, Engineering, Technical/Commercial (highly advantageous)
- Strong understanding of industrial scale meat processing operations and equipment
- Excellent communication, presentation and demonstration skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value sales cycles
- Self-motivated, driven to succeed with ability to work independently
- Willing to travel extensively, locally & internationally (with valid passport)
- SA citizen with Driver’s license & own vehicle
